Tuesday Ten

Tuesday Ten

This Christmas, I went home to Rancho Cucamonga (yes, it's real) to spend some time with my family. While family time honestly usually stresses me out, I'm feeling pretty relaxed right now, as I type this in front of a cozy fireplace sprawled out on a rug. As winter vibe-y as you can get in the Southern California desert. I dig it.

Aside from embracing some relaxation at home, here's what else I'm into right now.

1. Camping

Last weekend, I went camping in Morro Bay with a few coworkers. I forgot how much I loved sitting in front of a campfire, cozying up in a tent and spending my days outdoors. I can't wait for more camping trips next year. Looking for inspiration on where to go? Here's my roundup of SoCal camping spots for Fitt.

2. New York Times Crossword

I love crosswords. I don't care how nerdy that sounds, but I do. They are mentally challenging and keep me entertained for hours. Lately, I've been working on the Sunday NYT crosswords - and I love how difficult they are. Nothing like some coffee and some puzzles to make a perfect morning...

3. Sparkcycle

On the hunt to replace running's void in my life, I stumbled upon Sparkcycle...and I'm into it. While I've blogged about this spin studio before, it deserves another mention. Honestly, I've left this studio SO happy the last few days, and it's making fitness fun again. My favorite instructor? Krystin B. Take her class with me!

4. Dark Horse Coffee Roasters

My caffeine addiction has been a little out of control lately, and Dark Horse has been among the spots I've been getting my fix in (it's the perfect post-yoga treat too, if you stop by Mosaic before heading in to get your pour over). Read more about this fav coffee shop of mine here

5. An Inspired Life Journal

My friend Ericka gifted me this cute journal for my birthday this year - and it's quickly become one of my favorite notebooks. This journal gives you guided prompts - and really makes you think. I love a solid journal...especially one that directs my thoughts a little more.

6. Zappos

Shoutout to Zappos who gifted me a $25 off coupon...and delivered me some new Nikes just 24 hours after I ordered the shoes (which were already on sale!) with free shipping. Efficiency at its finest. My new Nikes are pretty cute, too!

7. The Holiday

I love me some Love Actually, but my favorite holiday chick flick has always been The Holiday with Jude Law, Kate Winslet, Jack Black and Cameron Diaz. It's longer, but gives you all the feels. Plus, it makes me want to snuggle up in a cozy English cottage. Give it a watch - it's good all year round!

8. Artelexia

This little boutique in North Park is one of my favorite places to peruse - it's filled with Mexican art, goods and everything in between. Obsessed. Bonus: the shop offers workshops, including sugar skull decorating. Read more about Artelexia here

9. Trader Joe's Seasonal Candles

I pretty much always have at least on candle burning if I'm at home, which means I'm always on the hunt for affordable candles that smell amazing (why spend money if I'm going to burn through it fast?!). Enter Trader Joe's candles. Such a good price, and I love their seasonal scents. The winter Cedar Balsam is making my apartment smell fantastic.

10. Chameleon Cold Brew

Last week, my french press broke (that's what I get for spending just $6 on one...), so I opted to grab a big container of Chameleon Cold Brew concentrate and some almond milk for the week before digging up a new coffee maker (if you have recommendations, hit me with them!). This organic cold brew is SO yum - and gets the job done.

What are you feeling this week?
